The keys were handed over to the six teachers and the school director who moved to Konkourona for the new school year. When classes resumed, the teachers moved into their homes in these four new and three renovated buildings. The new homes have solar panels for electricity and are large enough to accommodate the teachers’ families. The buildings also include an indoor bathing area and exterior kitchens and latrines, which is rare in village houses. This project has significantly improved the living conditions of educators, which greatly encouraged them and helped strengthen their relationships with students and the community. Parents, students, teachers and members of the Mami Siara Na Association came together to celebrate the changes that have been made on their school campus. In just one school year, we have accomplished so much. Thank you to our many donors and supporters for making this incredible progress possible!
