The walls are finished now and are being watered to keep the bricks from absorbing the moisture from the mortar while it dries, which would cause the mortar to crumble over time. There is a very hard-working engineer watching over construction to make sure everything goes well and that the building will be of the highest quality. In addition to the engineer, work is overseen by Sebre Ayouba, a senior engineer, Father Siméon, a local priest, Victorien Millogo, the local Program Director, and Constance Bationo, the local Project Manager.
Students have also planted classroom gardens, which are doing very well in spite of the dry conditions.
