Construction continues in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is hoped that the remote location of Konkourona and restrictions on movement in the country will protect the villagers from the spread of the virus. Classes have been suspended in the country, as in most of the world at this point. In many countries, students have moved to online learning, however, without electricity, internet access and computers, that is not an option in Konkourona. When students return to class, the new classrooms should be operational.
Walls were wired for electricity that will come from the solar panels to be installed on the roof and then plastered and the roof has been installed. Next will come the installation of the solar panels and the finishing work. Desks are being constructed in Bobo-Dioulasso to be delivered once the classrooms are finished.
