Sandia Millogo was born in Konkourona, Burkina Faso in 1939 and has had a hard life. She has lost 7 children and 5 grandchildren to preventable illnesses, like malaria, diarrhea and pneumonia, before they were 5 years old. As a matriarch in the village, Sandia would like to see a world where children do not die from preventable diseases. Opening of the Sandia Millogo Primary Health and Social Promotion Center has brought her great joy.

She has a wealth of experience caring for dogs, cats, bottle feeding kittens, chickens, rabbits, squirrels, turtles, mice, and a wide variety of wild and domesticated birds.

Konkourona Athletic Center

Please join KAFO Education Consultant, Philippe Millogo, to support beginning of the Konkourona Athletic Center with clearing and leveling of a soccer field and installation of goals and nets. The Athletic Center will be built next to a new middle school scheduled to open in Konkourona for the 2024-2025 school year and will eventually include soccer, basketball, volleyball and long jump.

Konkourona Diagnostic Laboratory

Please help build a diagnostic laboratory in Konkourona to more quickly identify and treat infectious diseases. Quicker treatment will save and improve the lives of individual patients, and also healthcare providers, family members, and community members who are exposed to them. This project will continue strengthening health and well-being in Burkina Faso while providing decent work and economic growth.
